L'Oreal's Hairdressers Against Aids Foundation supports StyleAid

Proudly partnered with the L'Oreal Hairdressers Against Aids Foundation, the L'Oreal Professional Products Division supported the 15th year of STYLEAID. STYLEAID is the considered the largest charity fashion event on the Perth calendar and is held annually to raise awareness and support the vital programs dedicated to people living with and affected by HIV/AIDS. As one of the most anticipated events on the Perth fashion calendar, 2012 was all about the numbers. With the support of 15 talented designers, 48 backstage hair stylists, 130 models and over 1,000 guests, the WA AIDS Council at the head of the event, was able to raise over one million dollars, making 2012 their biggest birthday yet. The L'Oreal Professional Products Division showed their support by supplying the teams of backstage stylists and products. Redken, Matrix and L'Oréal Professionnel hair stylists from around Perth were led by Matrix Design Team Member Sue Morgan; the event's Hair Director. All stylists donated their time and worked tirelessly throughout the day to prep almost 50 models in support of the fantastic cause. The message was clear and adopted by all: we all have a role to play in making a difference. Matrix's iconic artist, Sue Morgan (Be Ba Beau, WA) has been Hair Director for the event for the past 15 years and her knowledge, skill and experience was a true testament to the successful fashion gala. Featuring the collections from designers including Vivienne Westwood, presented by Dilettane boutique, Aurelio Costarella, Morrison, Flannel and One Fell Swoop to create a stylish runway extravaganza like no other. Six Avante Garde hairstyles were designed and created using texture, grunge, glamour, romance and geometric shapes showcasing the sophisticated techniques of the talented hair stylists. The premier fashion fundraiser showcased the best in local and international fashion catching the attention of Perth's most fashionable identities and high profile community members.
